Hornbaek Baltic A/S has signed a contract with Latvian investment and development agency (LIAA) on 14.04.2016 with contract No. SKV-L-2026/45. It entitles company of receiving monetary and other support within the program of enhancement of International competitiveness, which is financed by European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

In March we have begun a new round of Lean training for all company employees to enhance more efficient manufacturing process on individual and company scale by reducing waste, increasing profit and enhancing the customer value for money. Among other Lean training in the past, this training focuses on sustainable mind set, green wastes and circular economy. We as company care for the three customers – people, planet and profit, where sustainability is key with relation to United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development with its 17 goals.

On June 25, 2019, JSC “Hornbaek Baltic” entered into an agreement with the Central Finance and Contracts Agency (CFLA) on the implementation of the project “Implementation of Energy Efficiency Measures at the Hornbaek Baltic”with identification no. 4.1.1.0/18/A/013 (hereinafter referred to as the Project), which was successfully completed at the end of October 2020.
The aim of the project was to promote the efficient use of energy resources and the reduction of energy consumption in the manufacturing industry – the production of high-quality pine wood mouldings of various profiles by implementing measures to promote energy efficiency in the production process, i.e., replacing the existing moulder with the production equipment of the highest quality profiled finishing boards, thus significantly reducing the energy consumption in the activities related to the production process. The planned costs within the project were 611 000 EUR, of which 183 300 EUR is covered by EU Cohesion Fund co-financing.
The energy efficiency measure implemented as a result of the project will reduce the total energy consumption of production-related activities by 979.48 MWh / year, while the estimated greenhouse gas reduction is 200.6 tonnes / year of CO2 equivalent.

On June 25, 2019, JSC “Hornbaek Baltic” entered into an agreement with the Central Finance and Contracts Agency (CFLA) on the implementation of the project “Implementation of Energy Efficiency Measures at Hornbaek Baltic” with identification no. 4.1.1.0/18/A/013 (hereinafter referred to as the Project).
As part of the project, at the end of October 2019, an agreement was signed with the German company “Michalel Weinig” for the purchase of the highest quality moulder, and information has been received from the manufacturer that the equipment could be delivered to the plant this year, in April 2020.
The planned costs within the project reach 611 000. EUR, of which EUR 183 300 is planned to be covered by the EU Cohesion Fund co-financing.
The implementation of the project is planned for 18 months, indicatively until the end of 2020.

White pine moulding manufacturer Hornbaek Baltic will invest 600,000 EUR in the production line of white painted moudlings, according to the website of the Procurement Monitoring Bureau.
The German company Michalel Weinig, which was also the only bidder in the tender, was awarded the tender for the supply and installation of the production line for the highest quality profiled mouldings. The contract price offered by Michalel Weinig is EUR 600 000 excluding value added tax (VAT) or EUR 726 000, including VAT.
The investment project is planned to be implemented by November 30, 2020 in the company’s production facilities in Ādaži, Muižas Street 3, the second round of the operational program “Growth and Employment” specific support objective “Promote efficient use of energy resources, within the framework of the project “Implementation of Energy Efficiency Measures at the Production Plant of the Joint Stock Company Hornbaek Baltic ”.
The company “Hornbaek Baltic” was registered in 1992. The sole owner of the company is the Danish company Hornbaek.
